Ingredients:
- Rice Powder 2 cups
- Coconut grated 2 cups
- Jaggery(Sarkkara) 200 g
- Cardamom(Elakka) Powder 2 tsp
- Water 1 cup
- Banana Leaf 4 pieces
Description:
- Make ‘Sarkkarapavu’, by boiling 50ml of water with jaggery.
- When it turns to semi liquid, filter and removes the solid particles.
- Then mix with grated coconut and cardamom powder.Coconut mix is ready.Keep it aside.
- Heat water and salt in a vessel.When it boils well,slowly add the water into rice powder and make a soft dough.
- Dough is ready.Make little large size balls.
- Flatten the dough on the banana leaf with hand and on the top spread coconut mix.
- Fold the banana leaf with content and steam it in Iddly maker.
- Cook till both sides are well done and the leaf turn brownish. Serve with warm.
